VICE reports that Tim Ballard, whose supposed real life story is portrayed in the film “Sound of Freedom,” has left the anti-trafficking group Operation Underground Railroad (OUR) that he founded after an “internal investigation into claims made against him” by an OUR employee.
OUR claims to rescue women and children from sex trafficking, but VICE has reported that Ballard and OUR leadership have a history of distorting international rescues, misusing donor funds and of unspecified misconduct towards women.
VICE reports that an anonymous letter was sent to them containing allegations against Ballard by an OUR employee:
OUR recently told VICE that Ballard “stepped away” from OUR prior to the release of the film “Sound of Freedom,” which has become a box office success thanks to conspiracy theorists, QAnon followers and conservative Christians.
Ballard’s rep did not respond to requests from VICE for comment.
Ballard responded to news reports by posting a video on Instagram in which he ranted against the “godless leftist media” for “running interference for human traffickers” and “throwing everything at me right now.” Ballard encouraged his followers to “defeat them by watching Sound of Freedom anyway… because God’s children are NOT for sale.”

I’ll bet anything it’s a set-up. Certain people don’t want the spotlight on them.
