Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) falsely claimed on CNN that Blue States have “post-birth abortions” and made the false assertion that the U.S. Military pays female soldiers to have abortions, when in reality the military does not pay an incentive to have an abortion.

The military pays for the actual abortion, just as it pays for any medical care. DeSantis signed a six-week abortion ban for Florida back in April, noted NPR, even though many women may not even know they are pregnant at six weeks.
