UPDATE: The Los Angeles Department of Public Health said they found COVID violations at De Leon Express Tailoring on July 28.
The popular social media site Yelp is removing negative reviews of businesses that violate COVID health rules and place the lives of customers in danger.
A recent review of De Leon Express Tailoring in Los Angeles detailed the dangerous health violations that were visible, but Yelp claimed the review had to be removed:
We’re reaching out to let you know that our moderators removed your review of De Leon Express Tailoring. Your review was removed because it didn’t include enough detail about your experiences as a customer of De Leon Express Tailoring.
The review included specific dates and violations of Los Angeles County Public Health rules, specifically mask wearing for all indoor businesses:
De Leon Tailoring is knowingly placing lives in danger by ignoring the indoor mask wearing rule by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, effective July 17, 2021. COVID-19 cases are skyrocketing in Los Angeles at this time of this review (July 23). Why? Because of companies like this.
De Leon Tailoring employees are not wearing masks, and neither are most of their customers in this small and confined space. I was told by the non-masked manager that it is not a problem. Science denial is absolutely a problem. This is why we are having another outbreak of COVID.
I am reporting this company to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health for violating the mask mandate (link below). I urge everyone for their own safety not to go here. Other tailoring companies are not placing lives in danger. Go to them, not De Leon Tailoring.
