Rep. Victoria Spartz (R-IN) went on a wild rant against U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland in which she claimed the January 6 insurrectionists were “good Americans” with “strollers and kids.” Rep. Spartz also compared the U.S. Justice Department to the murderous Russian KGB. Rep. Spartz falsey claimed the two-year investigation into President Trump was “quick.”
POLITICO reported in 2022 that Rep. Spartz had high staff turnover rates because of her temper and “aides who have left after a couple of months did so because the work environment became untenable.” One former aide said, “the common theme: Staffers do their job, and then Victoria comes in saying that they have no idea what they’re doing, that they are ‘morons,’ calling them ‘idiots.'”
