A cashier, who has not yet been identified, was killed at a Big Bear supermarket in DeKalb, Georgia, on June 14 after asking Victor Tucker Jr. to wear a mask due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Authorities said that Tucker refused to wear a mask, got into an argument with the cashier, left the store without making a purchase, returned and shot the cashier in the head, reports WAGA.
Tucker was arrested by responding deputies as he tried to crawl out the front door of the supermarket, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said. Tucker was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
