During a conference call with investors, CEO Alex Karp said Palantir (which receives billions in taxpayer money to develop data integration and analytics platforms for government and corporations) had a deadly goal:
Palantir is here to disrupt and make the institutions we partner with the very best in the world. And when it’s necessary to scare our enemies, and on occasion kill them, and we hope you’re in favor of that.
“I’ve Had It” podcast host Jennifer Welch noted that Peter Thiel — co-founder and chairman of the board of directors of Palantir — compared the U.S. in 2020s to Germany in the 1920s (formation of the Nazi Party):
One suspects that democracy, whatever that means, is exhausted.
