Elon Musk went on Twitter (renamed X) to tout his latest failed SpaceX flight on Nov. 18,2023.
Wired reported how the failed flight lasted only a few minutes past a flight in April:
SpaceX’s Starship failed its test flight this morning when the automated flight termination system triggered, and engineers lost contact with the craft about 10 minutes into its journey.
CBC also noted the failed effort:
SpaceX’s uncrewed spacecraft Starship, developed to carry astronauts to the moon and beyond, was presumed to have failed in space minutes after lifting off on Saturday in a second test after its first attempt to reach space ended in an explosion.
However, Musk and his SpaceX company appeared to deny reality and tweeted praise:
Starship’s hot-stage separation was the first time this technique has been done successfully with a vehicle of this size pic.twitter.com/nlfhcPo8m7

No refurbishment needed to the water-cooled steel plate for next launch.
Congrats to @Spacex team & contractors for engineering & building such a robust system so rapidly! pic.twitter.com/py5m1uhtEi
