White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt falsely claimed that a federal judge could not block President Donald Trump’s mass firings of federal workers, which Judge William J. Alsup of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California did, notes The New York Times.
Leavitt’s claim is false, and violates the separation of powers, as legal experts and Supreme Court cases have made clear.
