A white Jacksonville Sheriff’s deputy, Officer Randy Holton, beat a Black woman, Erika McGriff, in front of children over how she parked her car outside a Florida school where she was picking up her child, according to civil rights attorney Ben Crump.
The Tampa Bay Free Press notes that McGriff was charged with multiple third-degree felony charges, and witnesses who filmed the assault were also charged for violating Florida’s new controversial “Haol Law” that bans the public from being within 25-feet.
