President Donald Trump’s Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who has a long history of lying, owes more than 100 creditors a whopping $326,370.50 for her failed run for Congress in 2022, according to the Federal Election Commission.
Leavitt was defeated by Rep. Chris Pappas (D-N.H.).
Much of the “Karoline for Congress” campaign’s debt comes illegal and excessive contributions that it accepted, but never returned to donors, reports NOTUS.
Leavitt, who often wears a Christian cross, has only paid back a few people including her parents, notes NOTUS:
But among the few people Leavitt did refund, the campaign paid $2,900 to each of her parents in January, the filing shows. The only other refunds this year were $2,900 to an organization called “EMJ Holdings” — which has no listed address and no record of previously donating to the campaign…
“Karoline for Congress” reported no cash on hand as of June 30 and long ago spent excessive contributions it accepted.
