The Tennessean reports that the Tennessee Department of Health will stop all adolescent vaccine outreach, not just for the deadly coronavirus, thanks to pressure from “pro-life” Republican state lawmakers:
According to an internal report and agency emails obtained by the Tennessean. Health Commissioner Dr. Lisa Piercey called for the end of the outreach, which includes ending all COVID-19 vaccine events on school property.
The health department will no longer sends postcards or other notices reminding teenagers to get their second dose of the coronavirus vaccines, which would offer them significant protection from the deadly virus, which is spreading more in the state recently, notes the Tennessean:
