Right wing Pastor John Hagee ranted at the Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, about socialism being a “political cancer” on July 4.
However, Hagee failed to mention that his “ministry” Global Evangelism Inc. (includes his church and other entities) does not pay taxes because it is a 501(c)(3) organization, according to Charity Navigator. This tax loophole is a form of socialism because it is the federal government giving free untaxed money to Hagee’s group.
Hagee went on to rant how “socialism is nothing but communism with lipstick.” He then told those “who do not love America” to catch flights to Russia, China and North Korea because “we don’t need you and we don’t want you,” notes the Friendly Atheist.
