Republicans expressed their outrage after Trump-appointed FBI Director Christopher Wray lawfully ordered a raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida.
USA TODAY reports:
Two people familiar with the search told USA TODAY the action was connected to Trump’s alleged removal of documents from the White House to his Mar-a-Lago property when his term in office was over.
According to Reuters, Trump is using the lawful raid to play the victim and to raise money through texts and emails.
Republicans ignored the search warrant granted by a judge to the FBI for the search, and made baseless accusations on Twitter:
