“We want god to come and overtake the government. We want Christians to be the only ones writing the laws.” — @SeanFeucht

Can you imagine the “god loves you unless you don’t love him back and then he hates you and you’re going to hell” people writing all the laws?

Pro-Trump evangelist Sean Feucht — who held unmasked super spreader events during the COVID pandemic — told an audience that Christians should take over the government and Christians should be the only ones writing laws, per Jesus’ “great commission.”

However, Jesus never once told his followers to take over the government or be the only ones writing laws in the great commission in Matthew 28:18-20: “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Feucht also said he wanted God’s Kingdom to be the government, but in John 18:36 Jesus said: “My kingdom is not of this world.”
