The Monterey Police Department in California has released a detailed report about the alleged sexual assault of a woman by President-elect Donald Trump’s choice for Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, notes NBC News and MSNBC News.
The police report says Hegseth (a Fox News host) took the woman’s phone and blocked her from leaving his hotel room before sexually assaulting her on Oct. 7, 2017. The woman told an emergency room nurse that she had been drugged with something in her drink.
The police report said that hotel video surveillance footage shows the woman, Hegseth and an unknown woman walking into the hotel lobby and toward the bar together around midnight. More video shows Hegseth walking with the woman after 1 a.m.
Hegseth was not charged with a crime, but did pay the alleged victim an undisclosed amount of money, reported NBC News.
