The Pennsylvania State Supreme Court issued an opinion to vacate Bill Cosby’s sexual assault conviction from 2018, which included drugging and sexually assaulting a woman at his home near Philadelphia in 2004, reports CBS News.
Cosby’s lawyers challenged the trial judge’s decision to let prosecutors call five other women who claimed Cosby assaulted them in order to establish a pattern of behavior, a common trial tactic. Cosby’s lawyers also said he had a 2005 agreement with a former prosecutor (Bruce Castor who defended Trump in his impeachment trial) that he’d never be charged, notes WPMT.
