Lawyer Josh Welch of “I’ve Had It,” explained how the right wing judges on the U.S. Supreme Court used their shadow docket to temporarily approve of Alabama’s redistricting based on race, which was ruled as illegal by a federal court based on the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Welch noted the U.S .Supreme Court can make shadow docket rulings without any actual case law or reason (until the case foirmally comes to the high court).
