Fox News host Tucker Carlson and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) are desperately trying to scare Americans into not taking COVID vaccines despite the massive drops in COVID cases in states with high numbers of vaccinated residents.
Carlson was angry on his July 12 show that the Biden administration is battling misinformation about vaccines. Carlson falsely claimed that misinformation can be factually true. Carlson also falsely claimed that the Biden administration has said vaccines are “bulletproof” and that people “can’t get sick.”
The Biden administration has warned repeatedly about “breakthrough cases,” which are when vaccinated people do get sick from COVID. Vaccinations help protect against and do lessen the symptoms if people do get COVID.
Carlson went on to ignore the contagious threat of millions of unvaccinated people during the biggest pandemic in 100 years, notes Media Matters:
So why is official Washington so angry at the people who won’t get vaccinated? How precisely do they pose a threat? It makes you think, once you think about it, that maybe none of this is really about COVID. Maybe it’s about social control.
Greene falsely claimed on Twitter on July 9 that COVID vaccines have not been approved by the FDA even though the FDA has given emergency use approval. She also cited the debunked claim that of thousands of people are dying from vaccinations.
