Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis voiced his opposition to the federal government investigating Ryan Routh, who is suspected of hiding in some bushes with a gun to allegedly assassinate for President Donald Trump near his golf course in Florida.
However, the federal government has already charged Routh with possessing a firearm with a wiped-out serial number and possessing a firearm despite being a felon.
The State of Florida is conducting its own investigation into the second attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. It is not in the best interests of our state and nation to have the same federal agencies seeking to prosecute Trump leading this investigation.
