Country singer Deana Carter claimed during her weekly YouTube video on Jan. 7 that the United States was given to Christians by God (no mention of Native Americans), and is a Christian nation because some white slave-owning Founding Fathers mentioned God in various quotes. The pro-Trump evangelical also claimed that the U.S. will be delivered from the “tyranny” that it is supposedly under.
