The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released new guidelines that will likely create chaos in schools this fall.
The CDC says the vaccinated teachers and students don’t need to wear masks inside school buildings, but the CDC is not advising schools to require shots for teachers and kids, reports the Associated Press.
The CDC is also failing to advise how teachers can know which students are vaccinated or how parents will know which teachers are vaccinated.
The CDC also said that desk spacing should not be an obstacle to getting kids back in schools, and social distancing is not required among fully vaccinated students or teachers, even though no one will have any idea who is vaccinated.
Elizabeth Stuart, a John Hopkins University public health professor, questioned the bizarre positions and non-positions of the CDC:
Erin Sauber-Schatz, who leads the CDC task force, cheered this Trump-like contradictory message: “We’re at a new point in the pandemic that we’re all really excited about.”
