Apple TV is postponing Jessica Chastain’s upcoming series, “The Savant” — about a woman who infiltrates online hate groups to prevent large-scale attacks– after the murder of Charlie Kirk, a right wing racist who is being glorified by Republicans.
The Wrap notes that Chastain wrote about it on social media:
I’ve never shied away from difficult subjects, and while I wish this show wasn’t so relevant, unfortunately it is. “The Savant” is about the heroes who work every day to stop violence before it happens, and honoring their courage feels more urgent than ever.
