President Donald Trump’s tough-talking border czar Tom Homan quickly scurried away after being asked about circumventing due process by rushing the deportations of Venezuelans, which violated a judge’s court order, as reported by ABC News:
President Donald Trump’s administration made a calculated decision to ignore a judge’s directive to turn around two flights containing hundreds of alleged Venezuelan gang members, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News.
The verbal order from the chief judge of the Washington, D.C., District Court, James Boasberg, explicitly told the government to turn around any aircraft that had already departed the country if it was still in the air.
Axios reports that Homan told Fox News he didn’t care what judges think:
We are going to make this country safe again … I’m proud to be a part of this administration. We are not stopping. I don’t care what the judges think. I don’t care what the Left thinks. We’re coming.
