Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tennessee), who has voted for numerous tax breaks and other socialistic programs for corporations, warned Breitbart of the evils of socialism and how it would supposedly harm singer Taylor Swift.
Blackburn carelessly interchanged Marxism for socialism, which two radically different models of government, when she falsely claimed socialism would mean the government would have to “approve her music,” and won’t “allow women to dress, or sing, to be on stage, or entertain.”
In reality, Swift has freely performed in many countries with socialism, including the U.S.
Blackburn also opposes women”s health care, and has helped spread lies about abortion that have been debunked by ScienceMag.com.
