Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) has promised stunning revelations and “accountability” now that President Joe Biden has signed his COVID-19 Origin Act of 2023.
The bill simply allows the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to declassify intelligence related to China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Hawley claimed on Fox News on March 7 that the COVID virus came from the Wuhan lab, but has failed to provide a shred of evidence to prove it.
Hawley also attacked Dr. Anthony Fauci who he accused of “actively worked to discredit the idea that, I believe fact, that this came from a lab, that this was a lab leak, originated in a lab leak, he actively worked to discourage that, to discredit that., when our own government was collecting intelligence to suggest it did come from a lab.”
However, Fauci actually said the lab creation of COVID was possible during a Senate committee hearing in May 2021, noted the BBC:
That possibility certainly exists, and I am totally in favour of a full investigation of whether that could have happened.
