CBS News and WCCO debunked right winger YouTuber Nick Shirley’s false claims about Somali-American daycare centers committing “fraud” in Minnesota.
Wow. CBS News Minnesota blows up Nick Shirley’s fraud story by showing security camera footage of children there THE SAME DAY Shirley was there. pic.twitter.com/hAOjATbu2F

CBS News in MN reports Nick Shirley went to 2 nonoperational centers, an after-school center in the morning, and an open center with video proving kids were inside. He misinterpreted the staff's resistance to open their doors to a random group of men with kids there. pic.twitter.com/j02oufiqrj

Some of the daycare owners thought Shirley and his crew were with ICE because they wore masks.

The Trump administration announced it was freezing all child care to Minnesota based on Shirley’s bogus video, which drew a response from Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz on Twitter/X.
This is Trump’s long game.

He’s politicizing the issue to defund programs that help Minnesotans. https://t.co/7ByWjeXxu0
