During a bizarre rambling speech that went over an hour, President Donald Trump told the nation’s top military generals in Quantico, Virginia, that he wanted to use US cities as “training grounds for our military,” and announced an upcoming military invasion of Chicago because he doesn’t like the Illinois governor:
And I told Pete [Hegseth], we should use some of these dangerous cities as training grounds for our military, national guard, but military, because we’re going into Chicago very soon. You gotta do what you gotta do because we don’t want our people hurt as they stand by.
Mr. President, American cities are 𝒏𝒐𝒕 a training ground for our military. They are your constituents.
