Texas State Rep. James Talarico (D) called out Republicans for violating the 4th Commandment — resting and not working on the Sabbath Day — in order to vote to put the Ten Commandments into public schools, which a federal judges recently deemed illegal in Louisiana and Kentucky because the U.S. Supreme Court struck down the Ten Commandments in public schools in 1980. After the Republicans chuckled about violating the the 4th commandment, Talarico noted that Texas lawmakers had violated the 9th Amendment by lying and the 7th commandment against adultery.
